This "how-to" seminar will be conducted by the areas own Andy Wolf, grower of the NYS record pumpkin of 1407 lbs, and sponsored by Pumpkinville, New York's oldest continuously working pumpkin farm.  

Learn how to grow giant pumpkins and about the Pumpkinville weighoff.

It may seem early to be thinking about fresh maple syrup, but Moore's is open Sundays ONLY through February for their all you can eat pancake breakfast.

We invite you to watch tree tapping demonstrations and learn the tradition of Maple Sugarin.  Sprague's Maple Farms still uses the same tradition of producing Maple Syrup that the early American Settlers did all those years ago.  Spring in upstate NY brings cold freezing nights and warm sunny days, ideal conditions for the maple sap to run into our buckets and collecting tanks. 

Outside, adults were scrambling like enthusiastic children through the woods, diving under dead brush, burying themselves into snow, trying to hide behind large trees. They were the "rabbits" and they had exactly twenty seconds to shield themselves from the "hawks". Times up and from the "hawks", one shouts "I see you", another exclaimed "you're dinner!"

Pianist Rosetta Senkus Bacon, trumpeter Travis Heath and French horn player Douglas Lundeen have demonstrated their prodigious talents across the country and around the world with appearances in Europe, Taiwan, Japan and Latin America. It's hard to believe that Holiday Valley can be even more fun, but wait 'til you come to Winter Carnival 2010!

Events take place on March 13 and 14 throughout the resort and in the Village of Ellicottville. Here are a few of the events that might take place, but a more definite schedule will be released in early winter.

Saturday March 13, 2010

Get your costumes and beads ready for one of the zaniest parades ever. Enjoy a weekend of costumes, parades, music and entertainment in the Village of Ellicottville.

The New York State Maple Producers Association is proud to announce that they will be hosting the 15th Annual New York Maple Weekend two weekends in 2010.  Saturday and Sunday March 20/21 and March 27/28, participating maple producers will open up their production facilities to the public.  Maple weekends take place regardless of the weather, so please dress accordingly for your visit

Snowmakers from the area are invited to come race and have fun! Teams of 2 ski down through a race course holding hoses and then hook them up to the hydrants before they cross the finish line. Come cheer on the Holiday Valley Team as they compete against snowmaking crews from resorts around the region.

Riders and skiers get huge air above the giant quarter pipe built at the bottom of Yodeler. Helmet and parent signature required.

The production is set in the downtown section of New York's lower eastside.  In the mid 1980's comes the O'Malley family.  Struggling Widow O'Malley is the owner of a pub that has been in her family since before their immigration to America.
